Name of the collection: The Invisible Path
Conception:
In her graduate collection, The Invisible Path, Ana Krgović talks about the clash of cultures as a result of migration flows between the African and European continents. Motifs taken from African clothing culture incorporated into the fashion of Western European urban culture are alternated in six clothing combinations with intense colored textile patterns. Ana emphasizes the danger with the waterproof textiles and the symbolic circle associated with the concept of movement and the metaphor of the lifebelt. The Invisible Path collection becomes an appeal for rescue on the deadliest migration route in the Mediterranean Sea. The designer, inspired by traditional zero-waste African clothing, applies the same technique while designing and making some items of clothing in the collection. All prints in the collection were created using eco-friendly colors that are based on water and biodegradable inks, the technology used is efficient and enables waste-free printing.
