IDEA MODA presents: Edzhe Dervish
Name of the collection: Cultural Flow
As a bilingual person, my family do speak and mix two languages. Bulgarian and Turkish.
I have got my inspiration from ‘mixing’ the languages and chose to research the Bulgarian and Turkish traditional folklore costume, and did an extensive research on costumes, customs, and languages.
I was most impressed by the multi-layering and the colorfulness, which became the main elements in my collection.
Mixing two folklores in a modern and avant-garde way, using elements and colors from both folklore costumes, became my basis for custom digital print and my final design collection.
